Vita Godec

Vita Godec, Managing Director of Lenis, began her career in biochemistry and antimicrobial research. After earning her PhD from the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology at the University of Ljubljana in 2012, she was awarded the prestigious UNESCO-L’Oréal “For Women in Science” fellowship. She then continued her research at the University of Warwick in the UK, where she collaborated with industry partners on commercial projects for the first time—an experience that influenced her decision to transition into the pharmaceutical sector.

Her strong scientific foundation and practical expertise have been key to her success in leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry. Vita completed the Executive MBA at the IEDC Bled School of Management in 2015, which provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the business world. That same year, she joined Lenis, gradually assuming greater responsibilities. Since 2022, as Managing Director, she has been leading the company’s efforts to supply over 300 medicines – primarily in the fields of infectious diseases, oncology, neurology, and nephrology – to markets across Southern and Eastern Europe. Under her leadership, Lenis has accelerated digital transformation, improved operational efficiency, and strengthened its focus on business compliance. Her leadership style is characterized by empathy, transparency, and fostering teamwork.
